E-commerce and the Shopify Platform

An E-commerce business was looking to relaunch an existing product that didn’t perform as well as they had hoped, as well as launch a new product at the same time.

E-commerce stores are on the rise across New Zealand thanks to simple platforms such as Shopify, Squarespace, Wordpress and more. In fact, New Zealanders spent over a billion dollars more in 2020 than in 2019 and online sales increased by 25%.

When our E-commerce client reached out to us, we knew exactly what needed to be done to make both product launches gain significant sales. These included: marketing across Facebook and Instagram catered to their relatively large loyal following, the development of pay-per-click campaigns, and updating their Shopify site to align and resize certain images, as well as develop a feature spot for both products.

How we fit into the story

Once a launch date was set, we organised a couple of models to photograph the new products for our client’s E-commerce site. These images were designed to capture the eye of social media users scrolling their news feed and stand out. Next, our in-house creative team developed graphics and edited the photography we captured to create content that would act as the teaser for the launch, the launch itself and pay-per-click campaigns post-launch to continue the promotion.

Finally, we launched!

Our E-commerce approach with our client was hugely successful due to our full-service approach. Not only was it the largest selling promotion of the brand’s products, but it nearly doubled the brand’s Facebook page views and doubled the page’s likes compared to the previous month.

Overall, one pay-per-click promotion returned an ROI of 12x, while the other promotion returned an ROI of 4x!
